Laugh riot without logic!

Raja Vannemreddy has a clear understanding of the middle-class pulse. After the success of his earlier films like 'Kshemanga Velli Labhanga Randi', he has once again struck the chord of the middle class sentiments. Though loud, the comedy of the film is entertaining frontbenchers, and the film is being termed as a hit!

The best part of the entire film is that all the actors have performed well, though at times you get to feel that they are over-doing. The lessons that women teach their lazy husbands and in the course of this happening how people (especially the middle class) behave to given situations. Though it seems like yet another film which have seen, this films events and turn of the story is what makes it different, all the more entire comedy sequences are not repeated so the film in overall looks different.

The Story
The same old story of middle class environment, where all of them live in a single colony, share their good and bad, and their woes. Similarly here we have the major characters of the film based out in one colony err one apartments complex. Kondavalasa, Krishna Bhagawan, Venu Madhav and Brahmanandam are MCPs (Male Chauvinist Pigs) living in Brindavan Apartments. Their wives are Telangana Shakuntala, Surekha Vani, Geeta Singh and Abhinayasri are tortured physically and mentally by their respective husbands. Then you have the all important character in the form of a domestic help Kovai Sarala stands up for the rights of these women and goads them to assert themselves, the first step being contesting the flat committee elections and declaring Sunday a holiday for women. Unable to stand the defeat the husbands devise ways to tame their wives. At that juncture arrives Shakeela, a film star at Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam’s residence. A series of events leads to divorce proceedings and the climax highlighted by Prakash Raj and Sivaji seal the relationships.

The Analysis
The director projects that women are most hardworking persons and that they too require a vacation to cope up with the domestic pressures. That is Sunday holiday for women. The best part is that the director managed tell this message of giving holiday to women in comic manner and never gets you to sob or sop over the story. Though at times the comedy itself gets on to your nerves. The performances of all the major artistes is commendable especially Telangana Shakuntala who is known for her loud mouth plays the role of a submissive lady who shivers when her husband Kondavalsa summons her, Surekha Vani is an anchor who works for a TV channel while her good for nothing husband spends time watching TV and sleeping. Venu Madhav and Geeta Singh make a endearingly odd combination of a working couple with a child and Brahmanandam is a widower who falls for Abhinayasri's charms.

Sivaji and Suhasini appear in a miniscule role and their work is to make an impact on the lives of the couples. The film most of the times doesn't have any logic, and the situations are created with logic only to evoke laughter in the audience. Overall a laugh riot for middle class!
