Priyamani Received National Award for Best Actress Actress Priyamani received the National best actress award for the lead role she played as an innocent girl in 'Paruthiveeran', while Veteran Bengali film actor Soumitra Chatterjee was conferred the best actor award for the Bengali film 'Podokkhep' by the President Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil in New Delhi.
Priyamani, along with National Award, recently won the Filmfare South Award and the Osian Cinefan Award for her work in the Tamil film 'Paruthiveeran', making it a triple celebration. Priyamani is the 5th tamil actress to win this prestigious National Award winner for best actress from the Tamil film Industry. |
