Bapu who has delivered excellent movies like Mutyala Muggu, Pelli Pustakam and Mr. Pellam has lost his magic. Radha Gopalam is a complete letdown. The movie is lengthy and boring. First half is average but the second half is boring. Screenplay of the film is very sluggish. Bapu's style of showing the romance between husband and wife is good but the main conflict between husband and wife is not established in a convincing way.
Story: Gopalam (Srikanth) is an assistant public prosecutor. He falls in love with Radha (Sneha) who is also appearing for law exams and later marries her. He helps her become lawyer. She takes up a case of a woman (Divyavani) who is charged of attempting murder at her husband (Venu Madhav). Gopalam defends the husband. He asks his wife Radha to drop the case but she refuses and wins the case. Gopalm ego is hurt and he asks his wife to leave his home but soon repents. The rest of the story is all about how they survive the ego tiff.
Music:Manisharma’s music is impressive. Read 'Radha Gopalam' Music Review
Performance: Srikanth did justice to his role in first half but is a letdown in second half. Sneha fits into the role perfectly but her character is not etched very well. Divyavani (of Pellipustakam fame) gave a good performance. Venu Madhav did a commendable job. The comedy track between Brahamandam and M S is average, Daramavarapu comedy is good.
Verdict Average.
